Both my daughter and I have long hair and use elastic bands constantly in our hair. I do notice when I want to keep my hair down and straighten it, that there are these little wisps that stick out due to the elastic bands breaking my hair. I am always interested in hair solutions that will do better at protecting my hair from breakage.
These are very simple bands, delicate yet durable. The elastic is wider so that is isn't focusing on such a small are of your hair to wrap it. They really add a delicate look to your hair, and when you aren't using them they double as darling bracelets!
They come in a dainty little bag, a baker's dozen. If you can get your daughter to put them back in the bag.. they will last for a long time in your hair! They do stretch a little over time. I did notice that I wrapped it 3 times on my pony tail at first and now it is 4 times. That doesn't make them any less useful, just a natural stretching of the fabric.
