The Lily Series
By Nancy Rue
Proverbs 31:30
Charm is deceitful and beauty is passing, but a woman who fears the Lord, she shall be praised.
That sure isn't what the world is telling our young girls today! Everywhere you look there are ads telling them and us that we need to fit in a specific mold or we are not beautiful. That isn't what God the father says!
Nancy Rue takes an question and answer approach in her new book to get young girls thinking about their beauty on the inside and out.
She mentions God confidence, where you can realize your true beauty and that it comes from God. Filled with quizzes, imaginative activities, and cool illustrations she tackles beauty topics such as hair care, skin care, pampering your hands and feet, shaving, what clothes you wear, and more.
Geared for the ages 7-11

I try to teach my daughter that it's more the way she acts than the way she looks that determines how she is viewed.
I try to teach my 9 year old that it's not about the clothes you wear or how you like but how you act & what's on the inside that is really important.
I always tell my daughters that physical beauty will fade eventually but inner beauty will always shine brightly - emscout9 at Hotmail dot com
A good lesson.
We teach them that their beauty is from within and fashions come and go. Also, showing off more skin doesn't equal more beauty.
God loves us all. He thinks we all are beautiful.
It doesn't matter if you don't have the prettiest or most fashionable clothes...God sees your beautiful heart.
