Jeff takes us through some of his tried and true
suggestions from personal experience. He went from being a non-runner to
getting back into it with some hints and ideas he found online and from other
people. He has taken his experience and the things he has learned and put them
into a comprehensive booklet to encourage new runners.
At age 39 I am in the need of some exercise, and Jeff is
showing in this booklet that it is possible to get back out there and run
again. Firstly he mentions visiting your Doctor, just for an overall check
before you haul off and run a marathon. We aren’t quite as young as our brain
would like to think and this way you aren’t pulling muscles and injuring your
body.
Set yourself up for success by having attainable goals
with your exercise and eating habits.
He mentions joining a running program, so that you have some
accountability and people around to motivate you and keep a journal log of your
runs.
Great concise write up by Jeff for those of us who weren’t
sure we could get back to it, and can!!
