We have been getting HearthSong Catalogs in the mail
for years and as soon as it appears on the table the kids take turns circling
their favorites and putting their initials by it in hopes that Mom and Dad will
get some of the gifts for Christmas. I love HearthSong’s products and it is one
place that we do shop for the circled items, knowing we are getting educational
and quality products.
“The name HearthSong was chosen to reflect core family values - the Hearth, a traditional symbol for the center of the home, and Song, a symbol of family spirit and of a special playfulness that parents and children enjoy together.” Their toys are ones that are interactive for the entire family, giving time for bonding and imagination.

I love the imagination she
was able to use as she set up her house and fairies, had them explore their
surroundings and look out for predators.
The only thing she wished was that the
houses would open up for the fairies to go inside the house. She so wanted to
deck out the inside of her mushroom house!
Made of resin and enclosed fully to keep critters out. She really won’t
want the spiders taking residence inside her mushroom house!
They are intended
for decorative use but older children can play with them outdoors without any
trouble. I would not recommend toddlers handling them as they are heavy and
potentially breakable.
Hearthsong has got to be
one of my favorite shopping places for my children. Their variety of toy and
education selections is so vast that I can easily find gifts for my toddler
through teen and get them all in one location.
